Ida

 Ida, a fantastically preserved fossil, is being hailed by the scientific community as the Missing Link between humans and dinosaurs. Scientists are all abuzz and the news anchors have become instant experts on opposable thumbs, grasping hands, and fingers with nails instead of claws. Google celebrated with a new logo, but the real pictures are pretty awesome.

I’m no expert, but even I can see the similarities here. But my favorite part: Ida is 47 million years old, and everyone keeps saying they can’t believe how good she looks. Every woman’s dream is to be famous for her looks – even if it is a little late.
