The anniversary of 9/11 is this Sunday. Since the 9/11 Memorial won’t be open to the public until next week, I have to rely on this wonderful thing we call the Internet. The memorial website is pretty awesome – they obviously took a great deal of time to make information available to those who are looking for someone. The website is completely interactive, so finding a name on a panel and finding out more information about that name is literally seconds away. The names are grouped by affiliation, not alphabetically, so clicking on adjacent names lets you see more info there, too. It is more like a story – a big story. How the people knew each other, where they worked, who they were friends with. If you haven’t visited the memorial website yet, I highly recommend it. Spend some time looking around – mouse over things, click on names, learn more… and remember.
